There are a lot of Current Problems of Indian Railways from which the railway is suffering. These problems are really severe as the Indian Railway is the main transportation mode that joins every corner of India.

Lack of proper transportation between many rural an urban areas is a major Current Problems of Indian Railways. Even the fastest of trains in Indian Railway cannot run faster than 140 Km per hour which is pretty low when compared to the interantional standard. Another big issue among the Current Problems of Indian Railways is the lack of Proper infrastructure. The hospitality and comfort offered at even the best trains of Indian Railways like Rajdhani Express or Shatabdi Express stands nowhere compared to the international standard. The trains fail miserably to meet the standard.

Among the Current Problems of Indian Railways competition is the boggest treat to t Indian Railways. Due to the high price of ticket and lack of proper infrastructure is compelling more and more people to switch to the airlines which also have similar fare.
