Sampoorna Kranti Express

The Indian Railways is one of the largest railway system in the world. It is a department under the Ministry of Railways, of the Government of India. The Indian Railways has the second largest number of employees in the world, right after the Chinese Army. It is also the world's largest commercial employer, with over 1.5 million employees. The Indian Railways have a commendable number of locomotives, which include passenger trains, and wagons. The total distance covered by the Indian Railways is about 63,140 Kilometers. The Indian Railways, which has presently become such a huge industry, was first introduced by the British in 1853. the first train journey was between Thane and Mumbai. The Railways soon gained popularity among the Indians and by 1947, there were a total of 42 railway system.

After the country gained independence, all the railway systems were nationalized to form Indian Railways. In all these years of its existence, the Indian Railways has achieved quite a few milestones. In the recent years several fast trains have been introduced by the Indian Railways. Two of the fastest trains running on the Indian tracks are the Rajdhani and the Shatabdi Express. Other than these expensive choices, several other fast passenger and mail trains have also been introduced by the Indian Railways. The Sampoorna Kranti Express is one of these trains.



The Sampoorna Kranti Express runs between Patna and New Delhi and is one of the fastest trains in India. The train leaves Patna at about 6:20 am and reaches Delhi at about 8:50 am in the next morning. The Sampoorna Kranti Express halts at two important junctions of Mughalsarai and Kanpur only. The train has about 17 coaches with AC 1st class, AC 2nd Class, AC 3rd Class, sleeper class and general compartments. The train also has one pantry car. The distance between Patna and Delhi will be covered by the Sampoorna Kranti Express in 15 hours, which is much faster than the other super fast trains originating from Patna.
