The train covers the 198 Km distance from delhi to Agra in less than two hours. In any ther train it takes more than 2.5 hours. From Agra to Bhopal Bhopal Shatabdi travels at a top speed of 120 Km per hour.

Bhopal Shatabdi express is a super fast passenger train that runs at a high speed of 120 Km. This speed is relatively high inconsideration with the old tracks of Railway. For this reason the Railway ministry has taken a few precautionary measures. The tracks has been changed to accommodate the high speed of Bhopal Shatabdi. The tracks that can till date support 120 Km per hour speed are added in the track to give the adequate support to the momentum of Bhopal Shatabdi. The tall barriers are also set up by the sides of the track so that no jaywalker, livesotck or straydog can at the time of crosssing the line meet with an accident. This also helps the train to avoid any kind of accident. The tracks of the train are also gets the due protection from any kind of destruvctive activities.
Bhopal Shatabdi also has brand new coaches and all the coaches are tested from time to time. All the coaches are brought in from Kapurhala in Punjub. All the coaches are made to give the passenger the maximum amount of comfort. The engine of the train is extrafast WAP -5 engine and hig speed electric locomotive.
