Amritasr Shatabdi Express, one of the fastest trains in India, has two routes to reach Amritsar from New Delhi. Train No. 2013 runs daily on the first route, touching down the places like Panipat, Sirhind, Ludhiana, Phagwara, Jalandhar and Beas. It leaves New Delhi 16.35 hrs in the evening to reach Amritsar at 22.30 hrs in the same evening, covering a distance of 448 km. Evening snacks are provided to the passengers a little after boarding the train. On its return journey, the train no. 2014 leaves Amritsar at 5.10 hrs in the early morning to reach New Delhi at 11.10 hrs. Just after boarding the train, breakfast is provided to the passengers.
On the other route, Amritsar Shatabdi Express runs with the train no. 2031 and starts from New Delhi at 7.20 hrs. in the morning. It touches down the places like Badli, Ambala Cantt., Ludhiana, Phagwara, Jalandhar and Beas to reach Amritsar at 13.15 hrs. After you board the train, you would be provided with a nice breakfast. While returning back to New Delhi, the train number 2032 leaves Amritsar at 17.00 hrs. in the evening and comes back to New Delhi at 22.50 hrs. Evening snacks is provided at the train to the passengers.
